Sustainable Fishing

We only source our fish from sustainable fishing sources because we want to play our part in securing the future of fish stocks across the globe. We understand the important role we play in sourcing fish from areas that carefully manage their fish stocks by listening to the Scientists and Marine Biologists who monitor the safety of stocks on a daily basis and not those individuals or governments who are only interested in pound notes. We only listen to hard facts and not hear say.

We have built a relationship over many years with the vessels that catch for us. They are as passionate about sustaining fish stocks as we are. This is why they adhere to the strict quota system in Iceland that is introduced by the scientists to ensure that they can continue to fish safely for many generations to come.

This Picture was taken in Isafjordur in June 2009 at 6.30am in the morning when the Julius, our main supplier of Icelandic Fish, had just docked.
